About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative Teacher of Art and Photography to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate.
The successful applicant will have a strong subject knowledge in both Art and Photography, and a commitment to nurturing creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking in students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Art and Photography
Inspire students to develop their creative, technical, and analytical skills
Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with school policies
Contribute to the development of the Art and Photography curriculum
Support extracurricular activities, including clubs, exhibitions, and trips
Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Art, Photography, or a related subject
Experience teaching Art and/or Photography at secondary level
A strong understanding of current curriculum and assessment requirements
The ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
