You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the Children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing Personalized Care: Offering individualised care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
* Promoting Independence: Encouraging and facilitating the development of life skills and independence among residents.
* Creating a Safe Environment: Maintaining a safe and clean-living environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
* Implementing Care Plans: Collaborating with the care team to implement and monitor individual care plans.
* Supporting Educational Goals: Assisting young people in accessing educational opportunities and supporting their learning and development.
* Building Positive Relationships: Establishing and maintaining positive and respectful relationships with children, their families, and external professionals.
* Documentation: Keeping accurate records and recording any incidents, following company policies.
* Crisis Intervention: Responding to crisis situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Compassion, patience, and empathy.
* Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends.
