We are seeking a professional dietitian, enthusiastic about dietetics, with a sound knowledge of clinical dietetics to provide exceptional nutritional care and support across various specialities. As a Bank Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to work across inpatient wards, including ICU, Oncology, Surgery, Medicine, Orthopaedics, and more, as well as Outpatient services. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing dietary plans, contributing to patient recovery and well-being. What you will do: The role is varied and will change with the changing needs of the department. This will be discussed with individuals prior to appointment. Provide specialised nutritional advice to outpatients and in-patient specialities for Cromwell Hospital. Ensure nursing staff complete the nutritional status of all inpatients admitted to the hospital and ensure appropriate referrals and escalations are made. Assess the need for, promote and monitor nutritional support. To ensure provision of the correct therapeutic diet by ensuring regular follow-up throughout hospital admission. To recommend and deliver correct nutritional feeds to patients, both inpatients and outpatients, as necessary, to compliment nutritional support. To keep accurate patient records ensuring medical staff are informed of patient's current nutritional regimen, including discharges, and to inform referring GPs and consultants of dietary treatment of outpatients. To develop and provide information resources for patients and other healthcare professionals. To ensure robust working relationships and with our Catering Provider, including their external dietitian, in house managers and chefs; contribute to planning and development of menus for patients. To work in line with department standards to ensure the dietetic service is in line with the requirements of the CQC. What you will bring: We are looking for a professional, friendly, and enthusiastic dietitian, with well-rounded experience in general clinical dietetics to cover the Hospital specialities. In addition to the Hospital clinical specialities, FODMAP experience is highly desirable. Paediatric experience desirable. Degree or Masters in Dietetics, HCPC registered. Accomplished general clinical dietetic experience including nutrition support and oncology experience.
