Hays is working with a rapidly growing business in Telford who are looking for a Logistics Administrator on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a brilliant company who thoroughly look after their staff.
Your new role
As a Logistics Administrator, your role will be to manage the day-to-day coordination of customer journeys. Your duties will include:
* Oversee the day-to-day coordination of all logistics administration.
* Maintain schedules.
* Manage regular collections and ad-hoc collections from customer sites (working closely with the stores/logistics co-ordinator).
* Expedite urgent repairs as notified by the customer.
* Provide professional and courteous telephone support.
* Produce and maintain documentation via Sage and MS Office 365 applications.
* Liaise with internal departments, customers, and supply chain against the planned schedule.
* Gain and progress customer invoice approval.
* Travel between company sites and customer sites when required.
* Attend regular production meetings, providing overall status updates of fixtures.
* Work within the company's Health and Safety procedures at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
* Provide professional and courteous telephone support.
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
* Liaising between internal staff, customers, and supply chain.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sage, and our own IMS system.
* Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment and the ability to lead and adapt in a changing business environment.
* Willing to travel between Torus sites and customer sites when required.
* Minimum HNC/ONC or equivalent with proven experience working in a similar role.
* Experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment would be beneficial.
