The Senior Personal Assistant will provide comprehensive office and administrative support to the Assistant Director (Consultant Clinical Scientist) and senior members of the Management Team within NHSBT's Pathology-Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics function. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care by supporting work in solid organ and stem cell transplantation, stem cell donation, blood transfusion, and research into transplantation. The position supports a national team based in England and involves work from home, on-site at NHSBT centers, and occasional travel.
The responsibilities include preparing papers for meetings, minute-taking, internet research, coordinating travel and accommodation, managing diaries and emails, and communicating with senior NHSBT personnel. The role also involves handling inquiries from scientific and medical staff within NHS Trusts.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include providing a comprehensive PA service to the Assistant Director, acting as a communication hub between the Director and other managers, departments, and external agencies. Ensuring efficient service operation and prioritization of administrative duties is essential. Occasionally, travel to NHSBT and external sites may be required, with prior notice given.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications/experience.
* OCR (RSA) Level 2 certificate in text processing or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Experience in managing bring-forward systems and tracking progress on actions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Experience in research, report writing, analysis, and recommendations.
* Experience as a PA to senior management or equivalent level.
* Proficiency in preparing agendas and minute-taking.
* Accurate medical data entry experience.
