Overview
Weekly paid hours for experience learning disability support worker in Worksop. Here at QS Care, we now have the opportunity to recruit experienced Support Workers to work within a lovely care setting based in Worksop. The unit specialises in caring for service users with Autism. You will work as part of a team, supporting service users with their everyday needs, whether it be helping them get dressed or washed, taking them out for activities, or just sitting with them and providing emotional support. If you want to make a change to people’s lives on a daily basis and love the rewarding feeling that comes with this, then this is definitely the role for you. As we are an agency, you have the flexibility of picking the shifts you want on a weekly basis; however, we also provide regular, consistent work.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team, supporting service users with their everyday needs, including helping them get dressed or washed, taking them out for activities, or providing emotional support.
* Assist with activities and social engagement to promote wellbeing and independence.
* Provide compassionate, person-centred care in line with service user needs.
* Adhere to shift patterns and work as required, including night shifts where applicable.
Qualifications
* Have 3 months experience within a similar care environment.
* Have a checkable work history.
* Have up-to-date mandatory training documents: Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. If you do not have up-to-date certificates, online training can be provided.
* Have an in-date enhanced DBS check. If your DBS has expired, we can arrange a new one for you.
Additional Details
* This role offers ongoing hours based upon the needs of the service provider.
* You will be covering nights starting at 21:45 hrs to 07:45 hrs on various days from Monday to Sunday.
* The rate of pay for this role is £12.75 per hour.
