Your Impact
We are seeking a lawyer to join the FICC legal team, focusing on supporting our businesses involved in cash bond trading, interest rate derivatives, and hedging strategies for corporates. The role involves transactional, trading, and regulatory advice across a broad range of cash and derivatives products. The team advises on transaction structuring and execution, development of new platforms and services, regulatory and market structure matters, and legal and reputational risk management. We collaborate with trading and investment banking teams, compliance, internal audit, and operations.
Responsibilities
* Advising on risk management and cross-border legal issues, particularly related to complex hedging and financing structures, market structure reforms, and new product development.
* Assisting with structuring, negotiating, and drafting client and transactional documents, including coordinating with external counsel.
* Providing advice on the impact of EU and UK regulatory developments concerning cash and derivatives FICC businesses.
Skills & Experience
* At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a comparable institution or reputable law firm.
* Experience advising on regulatory and transactional matters, preferably related to derivatives and fixed income.
* Exposure to financial market regulations such as EMIR and MiFID II.
* Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and accessibly.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proactive and able to prioritize effectively in a challenging environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with diverse global stakeholders, including trading, sales, control functions, and legal teams.
