About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in their home. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in our care. A valid driving licence is vital for this role, as it may involve transporting residents for appointments or activities.
Candidates should be living in Berkshire or Hampshire areas, if not they should be willing relocate before commencing work.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to provide the best possible care.
* Follow individual care plans and document any changes in clients’ conditions or needs.
* Participate in social activities and engage clients in meaningful conversations to promote emotional well-being.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment within the clients’ home.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
* Drive clients to appointments or outings as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Domiciliary care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* A valid driving licence is a must have.
* Ability to provide high quality of care in a compassionate and timeous way.
* Basic IT skills are beneficial for documentation and communication purposes.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
