Responsibilities
* Take key requirements and deliver them through the use of innovative design solutions.
* Follow and work within our well-defined New Product Development and Introduction process, working alongside other business functions to ensure the product seamlessly transitions from design through to manufacture and delivery to a customer.
* Deliver robust and high-quality CAD, 3D/2D design data that will become the datum point from which all subsequent engineering data will be translated from.
* Interpret the latest standards and regulations that affect our products into the design.
* Proactively identify key risks pertaining to the safety, quality and reliability of products and, where necessary, work with colleagues across the business to implement controls as mitigation.
* Support rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and collaborate with colleagues to interpret and analyse test data.
You will have
* An engineering qualification to degree/HND/HNC level or equivalent experience
* Extensive Mechanical Design experience with sheet metal, plastics, and general manufacturing materials and processes.
* Fully conversant with product standards and regulations as well as knowledge of the procedures for the design, development, installation and safe use of domestic appliances.
* Proficiency in solid modeling CAD with experience in FEA and DFMEA techniques.
