Are you a passionate Specialist Mentor seeking a rewarding role supporting university students with mental health conditions or disabilities? Randstad Student Support is seeking Specialist Mentors to work with students in Southampton. This hybrid role begins September 2025.

Any one of the relevant professional body membership (see details)
* Member of BACP, BPS, HCPC, NCPS, NMC, SWE, SCW, UMHAN, or COSCA.
* NAS Certified (If no, we could help you in sending the link in completing the modules and it would cost GBP180. A one time payment)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting students with mental health needs or disabilities
What are you going to do?
As a Specialist Mentor, you will provide 1:on:1 support, helping students develop organizational skills, manage stress, and build confidence as independent learners. You will work with students throughout the academic year, both in:person and online, tailoring your approach to each individuals needs. This Specialist Mentor role requires adherence to the DfEs qualification framework for DSA:funded students. The Specialist Mentor will maintain confidentiality and report to Randstad.
Where are you going to work?
You will work with university students in Southampton, providing both in:person and online support. The Specialist Mentor position offers a hybrid work model that allows for flexible scheduling.
