Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business
Technical Business Analyst will be a vital part of the team responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of custom applications for Workday’s customers. You will join an exciting micro-business with a “start-up” mentality – flexible, efficient, with lots of opportunity for learning and growth. You will run multiple small projects and collaborate with a wide range of global clients. You will ensure that the team understands business needs and facilitate the analysis and design of cost-effective solutions, while guiding and educating others within the Workday practice on Workday Extend. You’ll articulate problems and proposed solutions in ways understood by all stakeholders, work with others to build features and technical components of a product or service, and identify risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies to support successful delivery. You’ll facilitate and participate in workshops to understand business problems and achieve a shared understanding of user needs.
Key responsibilities
* Confidently analyse data to make recommendations and inform decisions.
* Establish strong working relationships with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and support delivery of business value.
* Advocate Agile practices and promote the concept of a minimum viable product.
* Document user stories and acceptance criteria in a concise, development-ready manner.
* Prepare UX wireframes to help customers understand the proposed business solution.
Minimum (essential) Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in a BA role.
* Business Analyst experience working with Workday HCM.
* Strong understanding of HR domain and processes.
* Project management skills and experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to think creatively and analytically.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
* Experience working with Workday environment.
* Workday HCM, Financials or Payroll Certification.
