A leading UK-based consultancy delivering integrated engineering, environmental, and project management services across the built environment, supporting clients from concept through topletion with practical, cost-effective solutions. With expertise spanning civil and structural engineering, environmental risk management, regulatorypliance, and sustainability, the business helps organisations deliver high-quality infrastructure and development projects while balancingmercial performance with environmental responsibility.


Your new role

This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to be based in either Liverpool or North Wales, with the option for remote working. Occasional travel to office and site locations will be required in line with business needs.

1. Lead and support the preparation, submission, and management of environmental and planning permit applications
2. Liaise with regulators, local authorities, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and consents
3. Interpret and advise on environmental legislation, permitting requirements, andpliance obligations
4. Prepare technical documentation including permit applications, environmental statements, and supporting reports
5. Monitor and track permit conditions, ensuring ongoingpliance throughout project delivery.
6. Provide clients with clear guidance on regulatory risks, timelines, and permitting strategies
7. Support environmental assessments, including impact assessments and risk evaluations aligned with permitting requirements.
8. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs and project plans meet regulatory standards
9. Assist with audits, inspections, and responses to regulatory queries or enforcement matters
10. Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, andpliance documentation


What you'll need to succeed

11. A degree in an environmental or related field
12. Experience within engineering, environmental consultancy, or a related technical field
13. Strongmunication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
14. A proactive and collaborative approach to team working
15. Ability to manage workload and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
