We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Ford, a category D Prison located in Ford.
This is an exciting time to be part of an integrated and friendly team who are planning and embedding the integrated pathway around release and transfer, early days custody and unscheduled care. The team currently holds around 350 prisoners and will increase to 780 in the new build phase, with all teams on one site. A setting similar to a GP Practice with lots of development opportunities.
Hours
Working Monday to Friday 08:00am – 18:00. Weekend cover where required to support team holidays.
Salary
Annual salary up to £58,012 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high-quality clinical service for patients; ensure clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
* Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute to audits and governance; contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate healthcare meetings with the team and different partners; provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Requirements
* NMC Registered Nurse Adult
* Evidence of continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgemental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
Additional information
* Experience in hospital, community or prison environments is not essential but desirable
