Electrician

Job Purpose
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join a busy property services team delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance and installation work across a diverse domestic housing portfolio. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical works safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, inspection, and installation work in domestic properties.
- Complete electrical condition reports, periodic inspections, and certification in line with current regulations.
- Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works across a range of domestic electrical systems and installations.
- Ensure all work complies with current legislation, industry standards, and safe working practices, including the Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Carry out full or partial rewires, upgrades, and new installations where required.
- Test and verify completed works to ensure safety, integrity, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including certificates and job records, using handheld/mobile systems.
- Work efficiently to complete jobs within agreed timescales, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.
- Liaise professionally with customers, ensuring a high standard of customer care and service delivery.
- Safeguard customer property, ensuring work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy upon completion.
- Take responsibility for company vehicle, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are maintained and used correctly.
- Support and mentor apprentices where required, contributing to their development.
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development to maintain qualifications and competency.

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Identify materials required for works and ensure efficient use of stock and resources.

- Be flexible to support service demands, including occasional extended working arrangements when required.

Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship (City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- AM2 qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- PAT testing qualification
