This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role that requires forward thinking and working initiative. Duties and Responsibilities Dynamic – good at multi-tasking and jumping between projects. Good at planning – looking ahead and spotting patterns and efficiencies. Technical background – you need to know what you’re managing. Good with customers – likeable, friendly and memorable! Do what you say you will do. Forward-thinking – if something has a 2-week lead time, give yourself 4 weeks. Concise written English – be able to write a clear, customer-friendly, simple project plan. Commercial Appreciation – Understand the costs involved in delivering a project and how to manage these effectively. Calendar Expert – Being able to consider calendar management in all aspects, such as travel, availability, working hours, cutover times, vehicle bookings, hotels, etc. Ideally, you’d be the person trusted with the passports at the airport! Roll up your sleeves – don't be scared to get stuck in if the going gets tough. Positive team player – help manage the stress of the engineers, by keeping the wolf from the door, or organising lunch for the team. Joined up thinker – you ideally have an interest in business and like to understand customers and how their organisation works, this in turn helps you understand project delivery intimately. Aura – be able to chair a meeting and get input from the relevant people and understand the objectives. Required Experience /Skills Experience of working for a Managed Service Provider. Previous extensive IT support, helpdesk, installation or IT project management experience. Solid technical knowledge of MS 365, Azure and Windows. Server / Cloud Migration experience is preferable. Experience of managing multiple projects or tasks simultaneously. Ability to lead and motivate others. Works well under pressure. The role will be based in our Head Office in Peterborough. Applicants must have a Full UK driving license and be willing to travel.
