Job Description

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronic systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address various technical and engineering challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
1. Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing applications.
2. Create detailed system architectures and specifications that meet or exceed requirements.
3. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
4. Liaise with external suppliers, evaluate, and select appropriate components and technologies.
5. Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
6. Oversee delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
7. Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a successful track record.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with excellent organization, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
* Knowledge of control systems and theory.
