ASA are currently working alongside a large-scale client in the public sector who are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Services Assistant for a minimum duration of 3 months. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing an efficient canteen service to those within the facility ensuring adherence to strict guidelines and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of canteen services, involving manual handling tasks in a warehouse setting.
· Check canteen sheets for accuracy and process orders using an electronic point of sale system.
· Accurately pick, charge, and seal canteen orders, preparing them for delivery to residential areas within strict deadlines.
· Receive and check weekly stock deliveries, inputting data into stock management software, and ensuring effective stock management, rotation, and reconciliation through physical stock checks.
· Undertake various additional duties and provide relief assistance as directed by the Accounts Manager, functioning as part of a versatile team.
· This role required working outdoors in various weather conditions, with suitable PPE supplied.
Essential Skills:
· A minimum of 2 National 5 qualifications, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
· Sound knowledge and experience of stock control procedures.
· Competent and experienced in using ICT tools, including Microsoft Office packages.
· Ability to analyse, interpret, and report on various types of information, demonstrating excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills and ability to listen effectively.
