Job Title: Senior Support Worker Location: West Sussex Salary: £35,886.80 to £36,412.40 per annum (including night payments & benefits) Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Full time, average 42 hours per week on a five-week rolling rota of two days on, three days off (work any day of the week) Employment Type: Permanent Sleep-ins: Sleep-in duties at the home with pay per sleep (room provided) Service: Residential Children’s Home Service Users: Looked After Children with therapeutic and needs-led support requirements Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (advantageous but not essential – training/support provided to achieve this nationally recognised qualification) Experience Required: Experience working in a caring environment with children and/or adolescents; prior experience in children’s homes is ideal The Home: Part of a group of nine residential children’s homes throughout Sussex and Surrey, providing nurturing, medium to long-term, non-institutional environments focused on positive life outcomes Who we are looking for: An empathetic and resilient individual prepared to adopt a professional parent role, build positive relationships with young people and act as a role model in line with the home’s therapeutic ethos Who you will be working for: Our client, a residential children’s care provider delivering high-quality, needs-led support for Looked After Children aged up to 18 years Company type/size: Medium-large provider of residential care with multiple homes across Sussex and Surrey Number of homes: Nine across the Sussex and Surrey region Future plans: Ongoing focus on career development, high-quality training and progression opportunities Other services: Access to professional training centre and comprehensive development support Why this home & company: The organisation offers a supportive environment, strong development pathways, benefits package including contributory pension and employee perks scheme Progression: Structured career pathways with training support to achieve further qualifications, including Level 3 and beyond Training / qualifications: Training provided for nationally recognised qualifications, including residential childcare diploma and additional specialist courses as required Benefits: Employee benefits scheme, contributory pension, paid sleep-ins and structured training support Sponsorship is not available.
