In this role of SEND Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver personalised, accessible lessons tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, and MLD. Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed at their own pace. Use differentiated strategies, adaptive teaching methods, and clear communication to support individual learning goals. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and specialist staff to ensure consistent and targeted support. Develop and monitor EHCP targets and maintain accurate, up-to-date pupil records and assessments. Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to enhance pupil support and progress. Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times. What You’ll Bring as a SEND Teacher: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification, with experience in SEND settings or working with pupils with additional learning needs. Strong understanding of adaptive practice, SEND strategies, and individualised learning approaches. Patience, resilience, and a compassionate, child-centred teaching style. Excellent communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
