We are looking for a resilient, patient and enthusiastic Behaviour support assistant to support in one of our SEMH secondary schools in the Bolton area. You will be supporting young people who are struggling with social, emotional, mental health and behavioural challenges to engage in their learning and aid in accomplishing their goals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has background in working with young people and wants to further develop their knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies
Support students in regulating emotions and managing challenging behaviours
Promote positive relationships and model appropriate behaviour
Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals
Escort students safely to and from off-site provisions or appointments (driving required)
Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour support plans
Always uphold safeguarding and child protection policies
Requirements:
✅ Must hold a Child and Adult Enhanced DBS on the update service
✅ Minimum 2 years of references required
✅ Safeguarding Training (provided)
✅ Full UK driving Licence and access to vehicle
✅ Strong Communication and de-escalation skills
✅Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond proactively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
