About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Science Technician, to join our thriving Science Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and set up materials and equipment for physics practical lessons.
* Support teachers during lessons, including setting up demonstrations and experiments.
* Ensure the safe storage, maintenance, and disposal of equipment and chemicals.
* Maintain a clean, well-organised laboratory environment.
* Assist with inventory management and ordering of resources.
* Support with risk assessments and health & safety compliance.
Person Specification
Essential:
* A-levels or equivalent in Physics or a related science subject.
* Practical knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A good understanding of health and safety in a school laboratory.
Desirable:
* Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
* Science-related degree or technician qualification.
* Knowledge of CLEAPSS and COSHH regulations.
