The University of Exeter is seeking to make five appointments within the Department of Engineering as part of the Exeter Engineering 2030 strategy. The Department of Engineering is one of the few truly integrated engineering departments in the United Kingdom and the world. It is also one of the largest departments in the University of Exeter, offering unique advantages. The positions available focus on the following research areas:
* Biomedical Engineering
* Chemical Engineering
* Robotics and Automation
* Smart Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Technology
* Water and Environmental Engineering
Applicants will possess:
* A PhD or equivalent in Engineering or a closely related subject, with an independent, internationally-recognised research programme in a relevant active field.
* In-depth knowledge of the specialism to develop new knowledge, innovation, and understanding in one of the areas listed above.
* A strong record in attracting research funding or potential to do so.
* A record of world-leading publications in international journals, aligned with the expectations for the position.
* Experience in developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
* Teamwork skills for collaboration within the Engineering department and across the University.
* Demonstrable leadership in research and innovation, with a vision for long-term development.

Salary ranges:
* Senior Lecturer: from £51,753 to £67,468 (Grade G)
* Associate Professor: from £65,827 to £82,935 (Grade H)
* Professor: from £78,189 (Prof Band 1)
