The ED Team at St Richards is looking for Band 3 Senior Emergency Nursing Assistant who is passionate about delivering quality patient care and who wants to make a difference to patients and their families at a time, they are most in need.
We have a co-located UTC and are working on improved pathways to enable the right care at the right time for our patients.
We are looking for kind and caring, dynamic nurses with excellent communication and organisational skills, who are able to motivate, support and inspire others and be proactive in their role.
We receive a wide variety of Emergency patients, including Trauma, Medical/Surgical, Gynaecology, Maternity and Paediatrics and have dedicated Stroke Service. We have a well-developed Emergency Nurse Practitioner Team who work closely with staff to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills in minor injury management and treatment

Support nursing staff to provide fundamental standards of care for our patients.
Complete investigations to support nursing team and clinicians to include observations, pressure area care, ECGs, venepuncture and cannulation.
Maintain infection prevention standards to include cleaning of equipment and patient areas.
Attend and participate fully in team meetings, safety and improvement huddles
* Take personal ownership in giving and receiving feedback; reinforce positive behaviours, and constructively challenge behaviour that does not reflect our Trust values
* Work to ensure that the workplace is free from harassment and discrimination (see also protected characteristics details in the Equality and Diversity statement below)
* Welcome patients and visitors to the department
* Provide/receive complicated and sensitive information relating to patient care communicating clearly, concisely and accurately and escalating enquiries where appropriate
* Always communicate with tact and empathy, and interact appropriately with patients and relatives/carers where barriers to communication may exist (e.g. challenging behaviour, varying levels of ability, where English is not the first language)
