Are you passionate about quality, precision, and purpose? Our client is manufacturing sustainable, lightweight building materials that surround us all every day. As part of ambitious growth plans, they are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team and help drive quality forward at the plant level.
What You'll Do:
As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll ensure your work will help guarantee that every product manufactured lives up to customer expectations. This will be achieved through ongoing lab testing of finished products while investigating quality concerns. You will be proficient in root cause analysis (RCA) through the application of your quality problem-solving skills and the associated corrective actions and close-out processes. As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will follow through with continuous improvement activities to ensure the production, testing, and QC processes are aligned to compliance with internal and regulatory standards, including ISO9001.
In this role, you will:
* Champion quality and safety performance across plant operations
* Support the implementation of Group quality policies and standards
* Conduct and analyse plant-level quality testing
* Collaborate with R&D to develop and refine innovative products through plant trials and new product introductions.
* Drive continuous improvement and root-cause analysis for quality issues
* Lead ISO 9001 compliance, internal audits, and inspection processes
What You Bring:
* Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing setting
* A deep understanding of ISO9001 and quality systems with experience in internal auditing to 9001. ISO9001 Lead Auditor accreditation would be an advantage.
* Proven experience in the application of quality problem solving and improvement skills such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D, Statistical Process Control, DMAIC, CAPA, and FMEA.
* Lean training would be an advantage, such as Six Sigma, WCM, or similar.
* Safety training or certification would be an advantage, such as IOSH or NEBOSH
* Confidence in managing change and communicating across all levels
* Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office
* Experience supporting R&D with line trials and NPI would be very helpful.
