We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to join our Global Data Strategy team here at Domestic & General. They will predominately work with our Data Product Manager to conduct discovery, planning and delivery of democratised data services and capabilities.

Key responsibilities:
* Support roadmap definition to achieve the outcomes for Data, which is to deliver controlled, accurate and democratised data services as a product, with privacy and security by design in mind.
* Translate roadmap items into a high-quality backlog, create user stories, conduct analysis, define metrics and measurable acceptance criteria.
* Drive sprint planning and value-based delivery to transform existing data capability to be cloud based (incl. master data, operational data, reference data, data model, access rules, quality, security, privacy & resiliency etc.)
* Collaborate with the data architect and engineers to design various capabilities that provides confidence in data provenance while providing flexibility in how the data can be consumed.
* Be an integral part of the data governance framework, working with data owners and data stewards to drive data excellence.
* Work in partnership with key stakeholders/data consumers to ensure consistent and exceptional data experiences, actively growing our data culture.
* Know the stakeholders/data consumer and strive to solve their problems. Develop continuous feedback loops and a deep understanding of stakeholders/data consumer behaviour, wants and needs.
* Be accountable for progress against the defined OKRs (business outcomes) to deliver value.
* Maintain deep knowledge of the data strategy and market context
Skills and experience required for this:
* Product ownership – taking roadmap & designs from Epic level and decomposing into high quality user stories (and features).
* Creation of curated, catalogue-driven data services.
* Knowledge related to data services, patterns, and the ability to democratise data.
* Good understanding of Big data, data management and data warehouse.
* PAAS and SAAS based data management tools and integration with them.
* ETL/ELT tools and creating common data sets across on-prem and cloud data stores.
* Separation between real-time operational data stores and analytics.
* Data protection, data fidelity and data integrity techniques and regulation.
* Proven track record as a product owner within a data capacity that can create catalogue-driven data services capabilities based on cloud technologies and microservices.
* B2B and B2C experience along with data monetisation.
