Deputy Manager – Nursing Home

I am looking for an experienced Deputy Nursing Home Manager to help to run a fabulous nursing home near Altringham. The service is home to fifty-six residents and is rated as 'GOOD' by CQC. It is a purpose home and offers a contemporary and comfortable setting for nursing, residential, and dementia care. Residents enjoy superb amenities, including spacious bedroom suites, cosy living areas, and a beautifully landscaped garden.
In this post you will:
1. Assist in managing operations within the home in order to reach or exceed goals while assuring the provision of high-quality care
2. Be in charge of overseeing the care staff and will be expected to assume full management in the event that the Home Manager is not present
3. Through direct instruction and by setting a good example, assist in training and supervising care staff in all facets of their work
4. Help the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents
5. Ensure that each resident's care plan and daily records are kept up to date
6. Foster effective communication with the residents' families and other organisations.
For this great post you will need:
7. NMC registration as a Nurse
8. Previous Deputy Home Manager experience
9. The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care
10. The ability to identify referral pathway for safeguarding adult/abuse
11. A good working knowledge of CQC standards
12. The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team
13. The ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home
