We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for you to work in the Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre and Dorset HealthCare Minor Injury Units. As part of the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service (DIUCS) you will play a crucial role in delivering a co‑ordinated and collaborative urgent care response to patients of Dorset, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries and minor ailments.
We have vacancies for full‑time and part‑time hours as a Band 7 Emergency Care Practitioner with experience in minor injuries, ailments and booked urgent care appointments to work within our Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre, Minor Injury Units and Integrated Urgent Care Service.
Responsibilities
* Provide autonomous emergency care to patients with minor injuries and ailments.
* Participate in a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver timely and efficient care.
* Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to team development.
* Maintain high standards of patient care, demonstrating advanced clinical practice and decision‑making skills.
Qualifications and Experience
* Band 7 Emergency Care Practitioner with experience in urgent or emergency care settings.
* Experience or ability to practice at an advanced level, providing support and role‑modelling to colleagues.
* Valid or updated Enhanced DBS check.
