We're now looking for an experienced, driven, and well-connected Business Development Manager with a strong background in the security industry to help us grow our client base and drive profitability.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in securing new business, retaining contracts, and contributing to the company's long-term growth strategy. You must already have experience in the security services sector and preferably an existing network of contacts. A key focus of this role will be identifying and securing new business through tender opportunities, including both public and private sector frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate New Business: Identify, target, and secure new clients through direct engagement and tendering opportunities across various sectors.
* Tender Management: Proactively search for relevant tenders, manage end-to-end bid submissions, and ensure competitive and compliant responses that win new contracts.
* Industry Knowledge: Apply deep understanding of the security sector, including regulatory and compliance standards such as SIA licensing, to develop appropriate client solutions.
* Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships, trust, and high retention rates.
* Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Lead on creating professional proposals, pricing strategies, and contracts aligned with company profit goals.
* Strategic Support: Contribute to business development planning, marketing strategy, and operational input where relevant.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure successful delivery of services and to align new contracts with staffing and service capabilities.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the security services industry
* Strong network of industry contacts and ability to generate leads independently
* In-depth knowledge of security operations, compliance standards, and sector-specific challenges
* Demonstrated ability to win new contracts and retain clients
* Ability to work autonomously and manage your own sales pipeline
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel if required

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
