We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Garment Technologist to lead the technical development of our product ranges - ensuring every item that reaches our customer meets the Sisters & Seekers standard for fit, quality, construction, and performance.
This role will be responsible for managing the full product technical lifecycle, from proto to production, working closely with Design, Buying, Merchandising, and our global suppliers.
You’ll be the subject-matter expert in all things fit, fabric, construction, and compliance - ensuring consistency, minimising risk, and delivering product that meets our commercial goals while upholding the integrity of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Fit:
* Lead fit sessions end-to-end across all categories, providing clear technical direction and decisive fit approvals.
* Manage all comments, measurements, and technical documentation across sample rounds.
* Ensure consistency and accuracy of sizing, grading, and construction across product ranges.
* Work closely with Design & Buying to interpret briefs, advise on technical feasibility, and achieve the desired aesthetic without compromising quality.
Quality, Construction & Standards:
* Own the development and maintenance of the Sisters & Seekers quality and construction standards.
* Identify potential fit or quality risks early and propose solutions proactively.
* Conduct detailed garment assessments, ensuring all components (stitching, trims, fabric performance, wash standards) meet required specifications.
* Approve lab dips, bulk fabrics, and trims where appropriate.
Supplier & Production Management:
* Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers, ensuring clear communication and strong working relationships.
* Review and approve supplier workmanship, size sets, test reports, and pre-production samples.
* Ensure suppliers adhere to critical paths and deliverables, pushing for improvements when needed.
* Support the onboarding of new suppliers by establishing technical expectations and ensuring alignment to brand standards.
Process, Compliance & Documentation:
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive tech packs, measurement charts, and technical documentation.
* Ensure all products meet relevant compliance standards including fabric testing, safety requirements, and performance expectations.
* Work closely with the warehouse and QC partners to address any issues on arrival and prevent recurrence.
* ensure that the fabric library and sample management systems are followed and remain organised at all times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Partner with Design to bring product ideas to life with technical expertise.
* Support Buying & Merchandising by ensuring timing, technical feasibility, and product consistency across drops.
* Work with eCommerce to ensure accurate online product details (fabrication, fit notes, garment care).
* Collaborate with the QC team and warehouse returns analysis to spot trends and drive improvements.
