The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient functioning of all aspects of the electrical distribution systems. They are nominated Senior Authorised Person Electrical (SAPE) and perform the duties of Responsible Person Electrical (RPE) when competent.
General
The Electrical Technician reports to the Electrical Lead and is responsible for:
* The safe and efficient operation of all electrical aspects of the installation, including switching operations.
* Conducting regular inspections of the entire electrical installation.
* Keeping the RPE and/or Electrical Lead informed of developments and activities.
* Liaising with other departments to ensure prompt resolution of electrical defects.
* Inspecting contractors' electrical equipment and maintaining a register.
* Controlling all electrical equipment.
* Maintaining electrical emergency systems to ensure they are ready for immediate use.
* Monitoring and performing electrical maintenance and repairs safely and to standard, following company procedures.
* Carrying out planned maintenance and keeping records updated in the Maximo Maintenance Management System.
* Using spare parts efficiently and managing the Maximo system.
* Making isolations in accordance with the Permit to Work procedure.
* Deputising for the Electrical Lead when required.

Education & Experience
Qualifications
* Combined Offshore Survival, Fire Fighting, and HUET Certificate
* MIST / IMIST
* Oil & Gas UK Offshore Medical Certificate
* Oil & Gas UK Certificate of Fitness for Emergency Response Team Duties
* Electrical or E&I qualification recognized under the National Qualifications Framework or completed registered/apprenticeship
