ITSM Administrator

To work as part of a dynamic IT Operations Team, which prides itself on innovation, modernization, and supporting patient care services. The position involves contributing to a professional, proactive, customer-focused service. The post holder will administer and coordinate within IT Operations using Techshop and the ITSM system, including planning hardware/software installations, providing IT support, assisting with licensing, and supporting staff within the IT Operations Department.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for purchasing administration of IT hardware and software, processing user requests, creating purchase requisitions, confirming deliveries, processing invoices, and maintaining relevant documentation and stock labelling.
Manage and plan own workload within set parameters with minimal supervision.
Maintain logistical requirements of IT equipment, including orders, site and location management, and ensuring efficient installations.
Deliver and, if required, install IT equipment such as mice, keyboards, headsets, cameras, monitors, or equipment configured by IT staff.
Attend team discussions and meetings to support service delivery.
Assist with on-job training for new and current staff, using SOPs to maximize knowledge transfer and team performance, ensuring core coverage of ITSM administration if needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Education
* 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin or Customer Service or equivalent
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* A Levels or equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 in IT or equivalent
* Typing/word processing qualification
* Full driving license
Experience
* Experience in an office environment with administrative responsibilities, including stock or cash handling
* Good knowledge of Windows applications and Office365
* Experience working with an IT Service Desk environment
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
