Social Media Executive

We have a fantastic opening for a Social Media Executive to join our Backstage support team in B2C Marketing.
Our Backstage support teams are crucial to the delivery across all five of our venues – The NEC, bp pulse LIVE, Utilita Arena Birmingham, the ICC, and Vox - and include IT, Finance, Marketing, People, Legal, Safety, and Procurement. They collaborate seamlessly with our frontline operational teams to create unforgettable moments for the millions of visitors each year.
About The Role
This exciting role will be responsible for planning, creating, and delivering compelling content across the NEC Group social media channels. Working closely with the wider B2C Marketing team, this role plays a key part in increasing awareness, driving ticket sales, and supporting paid marketing activities across our venues.
Day To Day You Will
* Plan, create, and schedule on-brand social media content (graphics, videos, copy) across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X, aligning with event schedules and marketing campaigns.
* Write compelling, platform-specific copy for various formats (captions, Stories, Reels, carousels).
* Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns, monitoring performance, and reporting results.
* Liaise with promoters, artists' teams, and internal stakeholders to gather campaign materials and secure approvals.
* Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, contribute to post-campaign reports, and suggest data-driven improvements, staying updated with platform changes, trends, and competitor activity.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in a social media or digital marketing role, preferably within a consumer-facing, events, or entertainment setting.
* Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice for different platforms.
* Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Sprout Social and video editing apps/tools for reels and stories.
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends to support live event coverage.
