As Principal Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in implementing our data-first approach, delivering insights that enhance audience understanding, inform business decisions, and optimise our advertising and marketing efforts.
About the Role:
As a Principal Data Analyst, you will:
Lead analytical projects across Marketing, Digital Products, Broadcast TV, and Advertising.
Help embed a new data stack, working closely with BBC Studios to maximise data-driven impact.
Champion a data culture across UKTV, making insights accessible and actionable.
Build dashboards, visualisations, and reports that empower teams to make data-backed decisions.
Oversee A/B testing, analytics methodologies, and innovative tracking implementations.
What We’re Looking For:
️ Proven expertise in SQL, R, or Python for consumer behaviour analytics.
️ Strong experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and tracking implementation.
️ Ability to translate complex data into clear, impactful insights for stakeholders.
️ Experience with visualisation tools (Tableau, RShiny, Power BI, Looker).
️ Knowledge of A/B testing, data modelling, and measurement strategies.
️ Strong communication and leadership skills - able to influence at all levels.
