Job Title: Butcher Location: Hedge End, SO30 Working hours: Monday to Friday - 03:00am to 12:00pm Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (12 Weeks) About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our high-performing production team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background in butchery, who thrives in a fast-paced and chilled production environment. You’ll be working with a variety of meat products, preparing cuts to production specification and supporting the delivery of high-quality, consistent output for wholesale and retail distribution. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare, trim, bone, and portion meat products according to production * Operate butchery tools, knives, and equipment safely and effectively * Ensure accuracy and consistency in all meat cuts and portion sizes * Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in all handling and preparation * Adhere to production schedules and work closely with quality assurance teams Requirements: ✅ Proven experience as a Butcher or Meat Cutter ✅ Strong knife skills and knowledge of various meat cuts (beef, lamb, pork, poultry) ✅ Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures (HACCP preferred) ✅ Physically fit for manual handling, standing for long periods, and working in chilled environments ✅ Ability to work as part of a team and independently under pressure ✅ Reliability and strong attention to detail
