We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager (Complex Care) to lead, grow and strengthen our Advantage branch — delivering outstanding, client-centred services while driving sustainable business growth.
This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives on accountability, quality, and performance.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Lead & Grow the Business
* Manage your branch as a successful and profitable business unit
* Drive branch growth through strong commissioner and private client relationships
* Identify and convert new complex care opportunities
* Work alongside Service Development and Care Service Managers to onboard new packages safely
* Monitor KPIs, budgets, and performance targets
* Contribute to strategic planning and market positioning
* Maintain strong local market awareness and competitor insight
Deliver Outstanding Complex Care
* Ensure high-quality, person-centred complex care services
* Oversee robust care assessments, risk management and service planning
* Ensure services meet regulatory, contractual and internal standards
* Work collaboratively with Clinical Nurse Managers and audit teams
* Protect clients through strong safeguarding and risk mitigation
* Oversee rota management, on-call planning and contingency arrangements
* Ensure accurate service documentation and compliance
Lead & Develop Your Team
* Inspire and lead your branch team to deliver excellence
* Take full line management responsibility for recruitment, performance and development
* Ensure safe recruitment practices and rigorous vetting
* Manage HR processes including supervision, absence, disciplinaries and grievances
* Identify training needs and support professional development
* Promote equality, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice
Ensure Compliance & Quality
* Maintain full regulatory compliance (including Registered Manager requirements if applicable)
* Liaise confidently with regulators and commissioners
* Oversee complaints, incidents and continuous improvement plans
* Maintain structured records to evidence quality and compliance
* Ensure health & safety systems and risk assessments are embedded
You'll act as an ambassador, representing the branch with commissioners, healthcare professionals, regulators and partner agencies.

Qualifications
What You'll Need
Essential
* Strong understanding of complex care services and client needs
* Solid knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks
* Experience managing a care service or business unit
* Budget management and commercial awareness
* Experience leading and developing teams
* Understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and health & safety
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
* GCSE Maths & English (A–C or equivalent)
* NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
* Experience managing complex care services at scale
* Experience working with commissioners and tender processes
* Quality assurance and audit experience
* Managing recruitment, HR processes and performance management
* Project management experience
* Registered Manager status (where applicable)
