The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary/agency team, the post holder will manage a defined caseload, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To deliver comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy services to clients with a variety of communication difficulties and/or eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties. This service will be delivered in a variety of settings. The post holder is expected to develop relevant clinical skills, knowledge and experience without direct supervision.
Duties and location may vary depending on the client group/aspect and demands of the service/level of experience.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent
2. Registered Speech and Language Therapist with valid HCPC Registration.
3. Practice education experience relevant to client group/aspect of service.
4. Knowledge and application of theory underpinning Speech and Language Therapy practice.
5. Knowledge of and adherence to national and local clinical guidelines.
6. Post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative.
7. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
9. Excellent time management skills.
10. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
11. Car driver with a full valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence

It would be great if you also have
12. Member of RCSLT
13. After 2 years’ post-registration Completion NHS Flying Start Programme and RCSLT NQP Framework
14. Experience of working with children and young people with speech, language & communication difficulties
15. Demonstrates knowledge of assessment and intervention / treatment in a manner that is consistent with evidence-based practice.
