We are recruiting an experienced Mobile Hose Engineer in Carlyon Bay, Cornwall, UK, to grow the business locally.
Hydraquip's engineers are trained to current industry standards, with additional training provided as needed to ensure high-quality service.
The Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer Role
Your duties include attending sites, replacing hoses and hydraulic components, liaising with customers, reporting job progress via our mobile app, and updating orders. You will also develop the business with existing and new clients.
Working hours are typically 8 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (42.5 hours/week). The role involves being on an on-call rota (about one week/month), which may require night and weekend work, compensated with retainer, overtime, and commission.
Requirements
* Previous experience in hose replacement, or as a forklift/plant fitter, HGV fitter, or in a mechanical role.
* Confidence in dealing with new and existing customers, as canvassing is part of the role.
* Valid manual UK driving license, ideally for at least 3 years, with no more than 3 penalty points.
What we offer
* Starting salary of £28,500 - £34,000, with potential for more through overtime and uncapped commissions.
* 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, with additional leave after years of service.
