What you will do
* Undertake high-quality single assessments within statutory timeframes, ensuring a child-focused and strengths-based methodology.
* Identify risks and protective factors, recommending suitable interventions.
* Collaborate with children, families, and professionals across education, health, police, and voluntary sectors to gather crucial information and enhance service delivery.
* Develop clear and outcome-oriented plans based on detailed assessments.
* Present cases effectively in multi-agency meetings, child protection conferences, and court proceedings when necessary.
* Maintain precise and up-to-date records in compliance with legal and procedural standards.
* Adhere to legislative frameworks and statutory guidelines such as ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and organisational policies.
* Engage in team meetings, supervision sessions, and reflective practice exercises for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England registration.
* Significant experience within a statutory children’s services setting, preferably within an assessment team.
* In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
* Proven experience in executing thorough, evidence-based assessments and delivering impactful interventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building connections with children, families, and partner agencies.
* Ability to juggle a varied caseload efficiently under demanding circumstances.
* Proficiency in electronic case management systems.
