We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team at our Basildon manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, precision‑driven environment, producing high‑quality components for demanding applications.
Working Hours
* Monday - Thursday: 7.00am - 4.00pm
* Friday: 7.30am - 12.30pm âś” Early finish every Friday
Salary

Purpose of role and key accountabilities
* Provide Quality and Inspection support for existing and new business opportunities and to develop the Right First Time philosophy required to become a leading supplier of quality components to the aerospace industry;
* Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements;
* Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages within business;
* Support and promote improvement activities to directly benefit our products and manufacturing processes;
* Work within cross‑functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects as required;
* Complete First Offs and Batch Work.
* Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management
* Working to ISO 50001/14001/45001 standards
Core skills/attributes needed
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications;
* Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred;
* Competent in using the following equipment: verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators);
* Experience in a quality control environment preferred;
* Working to ISO 9001;
* Attention to detail;
* Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;
* CMM experience advantageous but not essential;
* Practical Problem Solving skills;
