Location: Beecroft Building, Oxford
We are seeking an outstanding early career researcher in Theoretical Astroparticle Physics to work with Samuel Witte at the Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics, University of Oxford. The ideal candidate will have experience with black hole superradiance, axion-plasma interactions, and environmental impacts of black hole physics.
The candidate should have a proven research record in topics related to fundamental physics around extreme objects like neutron stars and black holes, with strong computational and simulation skills.
Responsibilities
* Conduct research in theoretical astroparticle physics.
* Assist in supervising DPhil and master's students and undergraduate interns.
* Potentially teach through lectures, small group sessions, and tutoring.
Qualifications
* PhD in physics or related field, or near completion.
* Strong background in Theoretical Astroparticle Physics.
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
Terms and Application
Full-time, fixed-term for 12 months.
