The Role We are looking for a Data Analyst - Bid Performance & Insight to strengthen our bid and growth capability through high-quality data analysis, insight and evidence. Reporting to the Bid Director, this role plays a critical part in understanding why we win and lose work, identifying trends in tender feedback, and translating performance data into compelling, evidence-led bid submissions. You will work closely with bid writers, operational leaders and commercial teams to ensure our bids are data-driven, credible and differentiated. This is a collaborative role sitting at the intersection of data, performance and commercial decision-making, with real influence over bid strategy and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Own the analysis of bid performance and win/loss outcomes, maintaining accurate bid records and producing insight by customer sector, workstream, contract type and response theme Analyse tender feedback and pricing outcomes to identify patterns, trends and root causes of lost bids, feeding recommendations into bid reviews and lessons-learnt activity Extract, cleanse and analyse Group-wide operational and contractual data, benchmarking performance against market and industry standards Identify and evidence value-add propositions for inclusion in bid submissions, working closely with bid, commercial and operational teams Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI, Excel, SQL) that provide timely, meaningful insight to the bid team and senior leadership Ensure bid and performance data held within CRM and bid tracking systems is accurate, complete and consistently maintained Present insights and recommendations clearly at bid strategy sessions, reviews and stakeholder meetings Support the continuous improvement of bid processes and evidence capture, embedding a data-led approach to bid strategy and decision-making About You To be successful as a Data Analyst – Bid Performance & Insight, you will require: Proven experience in a data analysis or insight role, ideally within bids, commercial, performance or operational environments Strong analytical capability, with the ability to identify patterns, trends and root causes from complex data sets Experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI and/or SQL Ability to translate data into clear, compelling insight for non-technical audiences High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy Experience working with bid teams, tender data or CRM / bid management systems Knowledge of property maintenance, construction, FM or public-sector procurement environments Experience supporting continuous improvement or performance optimisation initiatives What We Offer Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum A competitive salary package with a performance-related bonus Pension, medical scheme options and life assurance 25 days’ holiday bank holidays Perkbox (discounts, perks & wellbeing offers) 1 paid volunteer day £2,000 refer-a-friend bonus after the referee passes probation Opportunities for development and progression across Axis CLC Why Axis CLC Joining Axis CLC means being part of a national team delivering essential services across housing, education, healthcare, defence and commercial property.
