Responsibilities
* Co‑ordinate and deliver interventions to reduce the impact of poverty and food insecurity, including the Department for Education's Holiday Activity and Food Programme, and distribute the Household Support Fund.
* Work within a portfolio that includes support to the Armed Forces Community, ensuring delivery of relevant programmes.
* Monitor contracts, manage performance, and hold financial accountability across the commissioning cycle.
* Act quickly to support the development and delivery of new and emerging interventions.
* Analyse data and information to produce quality documentation—including reports—to support system change and service delivery.
* Negotiate, influence, and enthuse colleagues both internally and across partner agencies.
* Collaborate with partners from all sectors, including those with lived experience, to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
* Deliver results at an operational level and maintain enthusiasm for change.
Qualifications & Experience
* Comprehensive understanding and experience of working in a complex environment, planning, coordination, commissioning process, contracting and performance monitoring.
* Experience of contract monitoring, performance management and financial accountability.
* Understanding of poverty and food insecurity issues, and the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant and the challenges faced by the Armed Forces Community.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate and analyse data to produce reports.
* Excellent negotiation, influence and communication skills.
* Commitment to collaborative working with partners across sectors.
* Proven ability to deliver high‑quality outcomes and performance with a drive and enthusiasm for change.
