Practice Manager – Dental Vets

Dental Vets, part of inspiring vet care, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Practice Manager to lead our dedicated team at our specialist dental referral practice in Haddington. Located in a vibrant and historic market town just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, this is a unique opportunity to combine a rewarding leadership role with an exceptional quality of life.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day‑to‑day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead, support, and develop the non‑clinical team while fostering a positive and collaborative culture
* Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the practice to ensure efficient workflows and an excellent client experience from first contact through to follow‑up care
* Manage rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
* Drive financial performance through budgeting, KPI monitoring, and service improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with RCVS standards, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
* Oversee facilities management, equipment maintenance, and stock control
* Handle client feedback professionally and proactively
* Support marketing and community engagement activities
* Coordinate and drive social media campaigns
Working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday between 8:30am‑5:00pm.
You Might Be a Great Fit If
You are an experienced people and operations manager with strong leadership capability. You’ll bring:
* Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service‑led environments
* Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development
* Good operational and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
