Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network/Systems Technician to ensure the robust, secure, and continuous operation of critical, multi-classification (Top Secret, SECRET, NATO, Coalition, and UNCLASSIFIED) network infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise across systems administration, network security, virtualization, and enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Network Operations (24/7): Provide comprehensive 24x7 operational and maintenance support for all USFF-owned/managed network environments (Top Secret, SECRET, Coalition, and UNCLASSIFIED). Systems Engineering & Deployment: Configure, deploy, and manage new client hardware and software on local networks. Application & Identity Management: Administer, configure, and maintain critical enterprise application servers, including: Single Sign-On (SSO) Identity Management (IdM) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Management Cryptographic Log On (CLO) Server Replication, Load Balancing, and Backup/Recovery solutions. Virtual Infrastructure Support: Provide storage support for the Virtual Infrastructure Team, specifically managing NETAPP hardware/software within the Cisco Flexpod configuration. Information Assurance (IA) & Security: Maintain the system, network, and application security posture and integrity. Ensure compliance with current IA policies and CND (Computer Network Defense) requirements. Manage and update Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages. Client & End-User Support: Provide expert, on-site functional support for application end-users and support personnel, covering application deployment, Active Directory management, data recovery, and client hardware/software support. Security Tool Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of the DOD’s Host Based Security System (HBSS). Required Qualifications Education & Experience: Option 1: BA/BS degree in a related field. Option 2: AA/AS degree in a related field OR Computer Network Administration Certification, plus 4 years of related experience. Option 3 (In lieu of formal education): 8 years of related experience. Technical & Security Requirements: Security Clearance: Must possess an active SECRET clearance (minimum). Certifications: Must possess CompTIA Security (SEC) certification. Operating Systems: Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems administration. Data Protection: Knowledge of Data Backup and Recovery processes, with specific experience utilizing Cohesity and Veeam software. Virtualization: Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Cisco HyperFlex, and Flexpod configurations. DOD Security Compliance: Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) published Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and the implementation/compliance process. Experience with DISA DOD Group Policy Object (GPO) implementation. CND: Comprehensive knowledge of CND compliance requirements for managed networks and systems.
