Project Controls Manager
Salary up to £85,000
Our client is recruiting a Project Controls Manager to join a specialist Civil Engineering contracting business. The contractor works on projects from conception through construction to delivery across water, waste water, infrastructure and coastal protection. The role involves a prestigious project in Hampshire.
Position Overview
Serve as the point of contact for pricing, cost control, planning/scheduling, document control, BIM and risk analysis. Provide support to construction management and commercial/QS teams in cost estimating, programming, risk management, resource forecasting, change management and document control. Maintain continuity between cost control, planning/scheduling and estimating functions and deliverables. Coordinate production of Earned Value analysis, communicate with Joint Venture in‑house teams and clients on project controls issues, lead project‑level reporting and inform management to drive compliance. Develop requirements for the Information Delivery Plan, compile monthly reports and oversee the H&S file. Oversee BIM plan implementation, document control activities using the Common Data Environment (CDE) and produce execution schedules with the Project Planner.
Position Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience on large complex construction projects.
* Understanding of scheduling/programming, cost forecasting, dashboards and senior‑level reporting.
* Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and practical experience with change management.
* Experience with BIM and document management.
* Knowledge of construction techniques, particularly for water projects.
* Joint venture project experience is advantageous.
