About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Partnership Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join a growing and forward‑thinking tax team focused on supporting professional services clients (mainly Law firms). You’ll take ownership of delivering high‑quality tax advice to a diverse portfolio of partnership clients, ensuring full compliance with UK tax requirements (supported by a compliance focused team) while offering strategic planning and advisory support. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, confidence in managing complex partnership matters, and a commercial mindset. Extensive experience working with partnership structures would be a significant advantage. You do not need extensive advisory experience; the team are happy to train compliance specialists on the advisory work.
What your days will look like
* Build and manage strong partnership client relationships, lead regular update discussions, resolve technical queries, and provide proactive planning and risk‑management insights.
* Oversee end‑to‑end tax compliance, coordinating with internal teams, managing partnership tax returns, ensuring adherence to UK legislation, and handling HMRC enquiries and billing processes.
* Deliver high‑quality advisory work, including guidance on areas such as BPR/SMR, supporting clients through transactions, restructurings, and interpreting legislative changes.
* Lead, mentor, and develop team members while contributing to wider business growth through networking, proposal support, and sharing technical expertise—particularly in partnership tax.
This role is for you if you have:
* A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, or an equivalent international credential.
* Experience in partnership tax, ideally gained within a professional services or advisory environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK partnership tax legislation and compliance requirements.
* A proven ability to manage a portfolio of partnership clients effectively.
* Experience delivering tax advisory services and navigating complex technical issues.
