Role outline:
To support on content strategy and community engagement across Shard Financial Media’s Brands, delivering high-quality, data-led and commercially aligned content. This role will work closely with the Membership Team to ensure Index Clubs and Premium Members receive consistent value, supports lead generation through content, and feeds into sales and marketing strategic goals.
The purpose of our communities and content is to maximise opportunities; problem solve and optimise our members businesses – so they can perform better for their customers. This role is responsible for strategic engagement and industry insight delivery to both the wider financial services and credit ecosystem and for our Premium Member and index club communities. Ultimately, to deliver on our forever promise to create a community that betters lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Content management: Implement content plans aligned with brand focus goals, including all in-person and online events and micro events across all three SFM brands. As well as written content such as online articles, insight reports and newsletters.
Thought leadership: Write and publish high quality articles (organic and sponsor led), tailored for Premium Members aligned to content pillars. Chair and host micro events such as roundtables, conference events.
Agenda Development: Research, build and manage in-depth agendas on events such as Credit Week, Women & Diversity in Credit, Parliamentary Reception, Reward & Payroll Summit, and any new events launched with a focus on the content pillars, industry relevance, innovation, and commercial potential.
Speaker Acquisition: Speaker identification and outreach, prioritising community members, high-profile contributors, and Premium Members.
AI & Technology: We are a forward-thinking media company that views AI as fundamental to our success. This role will utilise AI tools to create personalisation, increase volume of output of content created - to create brand awareness, lead gen, summarise conference sessions, and repurpose content efficiently. As well as utilise external data sources to ensure the needs of the community are met.
Community Intelligence: Conduct research projects, use data and community feedback to identify audience needs, behaviour patterns, update index groups and new content format opportunities. Align content pillars with micro events such as clubs, roundtables and webinars etc.
Lead Generation: Create lead-generative content such as benchmarking surveys, downloadable white papers and session reports, feeding into sponsor ROI and Premium Membership retention.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing and membership teams to align content delivery with campaign milestones and business goals. Work with our sponsors and knowledge partners to deliver content – including conference sessions, roundtables, interviews and collab content.
Awards: Using industry insights and research, update and evolve award categories across award
programmes. Sit as part of the award shortlisting team, reviewing award entries. Repurposing award entries, including insight reports, best practice case studies and conference sessions.
Content Distribution: Distribute and re-purpose content across channels, web, email, and social media, to maximise reach, engagement, and lead generation.
Key Skills:
* Strategic and commercially minded with experience in B2B content preferred but not required
* Confident communicating with senior-level stakeholders and speakers digitally and face to face
* Customer first mindset, with a desire to maximise impact of content
* Analytical, data and research-driven individual
* Confident in public speaking
* Able to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication with great attention to detail
* Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and comfortable picking up new technology
