Overview
FD Recruit is partnering with a growing, owner managed SME based in Sheffield to appoint a Portfolio Finance Director who will play a key role in supporting the leadership team during a period of exciting growth and transformation. The company designs products in the UK with production overseas.
This is a part-time engagement, expected to start at one day per week with flexibility to scale up or down based on business needs. Ideally the Finance Director will be able to spend some time on-site.
Role
The role would suit a Finance Director or CFO who will work closely with the co-founders and leadership team to help shape the financial strategy for the next phase of growth, bringing a commercial mindset and robust financial leadership to the business.
Responsibilities
* Establish and embed financial processes and internal controls to support scalable growth.
* Analyse business performance and deliver insights that highlight opportunities for sustainable expansion.
* Drive operational efficiencies across the organisation.
* Lead and manage debt fundraising activities to support strategic growth initiatives.
* Oversee and optimise stock management processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
Experience / Qualifications
* Experience as a Finance Director or CFO.
* Commercially astute with a strategic mindset.
* Comfortable operating in a hands-on, dynamic environment.
* Skilled in communicating actionable financial insights to founders and leadership teams.
* Analytical, with a proven ability to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
The rate advertised is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
