Director of Education
From providing high quality integrated urgent and primary care for over six million people, to thinking of innovative solutions for our patients – every role at IC24 is made to be brave.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Education to lead our organization in the continued development and implementation of our Education and Research initiatives. The Director of Education will be instrumental in delivering our education strategy, thereby improving organisational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the educational strategy for a sustainable workforce.
* Make sure the organisation is meeting essential learning and CPD requirements.
* Help colleagues understand the vision and objectives demonstrating visible leadership.
* Develop leadership at all levels to enable others to make a difference to the care we provide.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders fostering collaborative working relationships.
* Providing the leadership required to triangulate research, evaluation, and education activities across the organisation.
* Work with the Director of Clinical Governance and the Head of Improvement on organisational improvement and learning.
Essential qualifications and experience
* Registered clinical professional with a degree level education.
* Teaching and mentoring experience or qualification.
* Leadership course, module, qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continuing post graduate education & professional development.
* Significant post registration experience including experience gained at managerial level.
* Leading Quality Improvement and/or education programmes.
* Experience of system leadership and wide stakeholder engagement.
Desirable qualifications and experience
* Clinical Consultation and Minor Illness qualification.
* Independent Prescribing qualification.
* Project management qualification or experience.
* Lean or six sigma qualification.
* Experience of working within urgent care.
* Acute secondary care experience.
* Experience in research/educational funding.
* Understanding of apprenticeships.
