Job Description
As an Account Director, you are a commercially minded digital marketing consultant who plays a critical role in both the growth and retention of the agency’s most valuable clients. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on client leadership, confidently managing high-value accounts while identifying opportunities to increase revenue through upsell, cross-sell, and new business acquisition.
You will act as the primary strategic advisor for your clients, shaping marketing activity that delivers measurable ROI and helping clients achieve their commercial goals. You’ll also be expected to lead new business opportunities from pitch through to close, demonstrating confidence in presenting value-led proposals and building trust with senior stakeholders.
This is a role that requires autonomy, proactivity, and confidence in managing large and complex relationships. You’ll be responsible for translating business objectives into performance-driven marketing strategies, working closely with delivery leads and department heads to execute effectively, and proactively steering account direction.
In doing so, you’ll also support Liberty’s financial goals by achieving retention and growth targets across your portfolio, while also contributing to the agency’s new business efforts. You are expected to lead by example — showcasing best practice across strategy, client service, communication, and commercial thinking.
